Horizon Zero Dawn Graphic Novel Series Returns This Summer

Guerrilla Games and Titan Comics announced the second arc of the Horizon Zero Dawn graphic novel series begins this Summer! The first arc saw record sales with more than 60-thousand copies sold on the first issue alone. Inspired by its success, the creative team returns with more of Aloy’s adventures and tales of her growth.

“Taking place during the events of the original game, this new arc explores the never-before-told adventures of Aloy and her fan-favorite sidekick Erend as they hunt for a killer with links to his past,” Titan Comics revealed. “As their journey progresses, and the pair fend off a series of deadly machines, Erend reveals the sweeping tale of the liberation of Meridian, and how his sister, Ersa, Captain of the Carja Vanguard, was murdered.”

Returning from the first arc are Horizon Zero Dawn narrative director Ben McCaw and writer Anne Toole. At the helm of the illustration is artist Elmer Damaso. “All of us who worked on the story – myself, Anne Toole, Annie Kitain, and Ari Martinez – feel humbled by the praise the series has received,” McCaw said in a statement. “During the writing process, we could only hope that fans would connect with the characters the same way we do, and it’s gratifying to hear that we succeeded.”

The first issue of the new Horizon Zero Dawn graphic novel series is set to release on July 14th for physical and digital purchases. Pre-order is available now at your local comic store, or online with Forbidden Planet or Amazon Kindle.
