After a rocky start for the open world shooter, Homefront: The Revolution has made leaps and bounds in improvement with subsequently better feedback from players over the past several months. Now after the release of some much needed patch updates and an initial DLC story, Deep Silver Dambuster Studios is proud to announce the launch of its second DLC story titled Aftermath.

The newest chapter of Homefront: The Revolution’s storyline is promising some serious drama and excitement for players. After the culmination of the previous DLC’s story, your character Ethan Brady has been given the responsibility of assassinating the “Voice of Freedom”, Benjamin Walker. Walker had previously been a figurehead for the resistance, but after capture and subsequent torment, he defected and began to spread anti-revolution propaganda against your own kind. As Brady, you then choose to go on a rescue mission for Benjamin Walker, instead of following through with the orders to kill him.

Aside from this daring new storyline, there is also a new “Resistance Mode Mission” titled Uncle S.A.M which is available to all players through the game’s latest patch. The Uncle S.A.M. Mission was announced on Twitter two days before the Aftermath story was released by the developers.

When it comes to everyone’s favorite shooters, there is a niche crowd for certain titles. For Battlefield and Call of Duty fans alike, it’s hard to imagine any other shooters out there that could be as good. Homefront: The Revolution is proving to be a bit of a surprising title for shooter fans. Overcoming their earlier troubles, the developers have really risen to the top to make their game as good as they possibly can, and so far the work is paying off.
