Hitman 2 Logo Leaked Ahead Of E3 2018 Reveal

It appears that Hitman 2 may be in development by IO Interactive, thanks to an accidental leak by WB Games. Earlier today the publisher initiated a 72-hour countdown livestream that had many assuming that a new racing game was coming, given the NASCAR-centric imagery on display. Unfortunately (for WB Games), they also briefly put up what appears to be the official logo for Hitman 2 on the publisher’s sitemap before quickly taking it back down. One would think that the publisher behind a game about a stealthy assassin-for-hire would be a bit more secretive about a new entry in the series, but here we are. Check out what is likely the official logo for Hitman 2 below:

The Hitman franchise has been swimming through murky waters ever since Square Enix made the decision to sever ties with developer IO Interactive. Thankfully the Japanese publisher ultimately allowed IO Interactive to keep the beloved franchise, which allowed the developer to continue to pump out new content for Hitman despite having to cut some of its staff in order to do so.

On the brighter side of things, this past April the developer announced a partnership with Warner Bros., wherein the company became the official publisher for the Hitman franchise moving forward. This resulted in the release of Hitman: Definitive Edition, which arrived for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One on May 15, 2018.

Now that the cat is officially out of the bag, it is only a matter of time – less than three days, in fact – before Hitman 2 is officially announced by WB Games, unless the publisher decides to move up its timetable due to the leak. We’ll just have to wait and see.
