This ‘Hellboy Hell Water’ is the Perfect Blend of Love for Comics and Whiskey
The geniuses at XXX Distillery, Prestige Imports, and Dark Horse Comics have joined forces to bring the world some devilishly good cinnamon whiskey inspired by the famous and one of a kind comic book character Hellboy. It’s called Hellboy Hell Water Cinnamon Whiskey and features the character created by Mike Mignola on the label.
Hellboy Hell Water Cinnamon Whiskey is micro distilled in small batches and hand bottled. The website boasts that they are “styled in the old traditional process of making Southern Corn Whiskey in the Smokey Mountains.” The greatest part is that the whiskey is 66.6 proof, because why wouldn’t it be?
In 1994, Dark Horse Comics launched Seed of Destruction featuring Hellboy and the character only blew up from there. The good hearted demon was summoned from Hell as a baby by Nazi occultists, but was discovered by the Allied Forces, one of which was Professor Trevor Bruttenholm. Hellboy grows up and becomes a large, red-skinned chimera with a tail, horns (which he files off), cloven hooves, and an oversized right hand made of stone. Because he was raised as a normal boy by the professor, he isn’t evil like you would expect a demon to be, and has an ironic sense of humor.
There are so many comics, graphic novels, collectibles and more featuring the sarcastic, but lovable demon. There were even a few video games and of course the Hellboy movies that brought the character to life thanks to Ron Perlman, who did an amazing job of portraying him. It only makes sense to take it one step farther and create something Hellboy himself would be proud of, some bomb a** whiskey!
