Hellblade: Senua's Sacrifice Nintendo Switch Gameplay Revealed (VIDEO)

Back in February, Nintendo announced during a Nintendo Direct Presentation that Ninja Theory’s Hellblade: Senua’s Sacrifice would be officially coming to the Nintendo Switch. Originally released back in 2017 for PC and PS4, the game follows a Pict warrior named Senua who journeys to ‘save’ her beloved, all the while combating her own demons and psychosis. While we still have a bit of a wait before the Switch version arrives, those in attendance at PAX East were able to test out the title on Nintendo’s portable console. The off-screen footage can be seen below:

As seen in the above footage, the game still looks remarkably impressive running on the Switch. Ninja Theory created the game on a lower budget than what would typically be available for a triple-A title, and that seems to have worked out in favor of an easy transition over to Nintendo’s portable console. Interested in Hellblade? Here’s the description of the game:

“From the makers of Heavenly Sword, Enslaved: Odyssey to the West, and DmC: Devil May Cry, comes a warrior’s brutal journey into myth and madness. Set in the Viking age, a broken Celtic warrior embarks on a haunting vision quest into Viking Hell to fight for the soul of her dead lover. Created in collaboration with neuroscientists and people who experience psychosis, Hellblade: Senua’s Sacrifice will pull you deep into Senua’s mind.”

Hellblade: Senua’s Sacrifice is now available for PC and PlayStation 4, with an expected release window of Spring 2019 for the Nintendo Switch.
