God Of War Photo Mode Lets Players Put A Smile On Kratos’ Face

War Photo Mode

The new God of War has finally released, and players everywhere are experiencing the gripping new adventure for themselves. The game has been very well received by critics, earning it the title of highest rated new PS4 game yet. It is being praised for its many new additions, including the introduction of Kratos’ son Atreus, and new environments for him to explore. However, one new addition is currently pulsing throughout social media. The God of War Photo Mode is giving fans the ability to celebrate the game and do the impossible task of making Kratos smile.

Sony Santa Monica Studio, who developed the latest Kratos-based adventure, confirmed on Twitter that the new God of War Photo Mode does indeed let players take snapshots of the gorgeous landscapes and character models displayed in the title. As an added bonus, the studio also confirmed that the photo mode will let players adjust Kratos and Atreus’ facial expressions to add to the fun. This new game allowed Kratos a great deal of emotional range and expressiveness, but now players can finally see what few have seen the Ghost of Sparta do – smile with glee. Of course, director Cory Barlog also joined in on the fun.

Several Twitter users have taken full advantage of the photo mode’s expression adjuster to post meme recreations and general tomfoolery in the game. The feature will be arriving in a future update for the game, so sadly, only a select few can make Kratos give a grin for now. Until then, though, the rest of the game’s excellence is sure to make players both smile and cry themselves, so hopefully that will help the wait sting a bit less.
