God Of War Director Reportedly Developing Biggest Project Yet
God of War is an exceptional game of storytelling, highlighting Kratos‘ later years and the relationship with his son Atreus, there’s still plenty of enemies to destroy in the 2018 action-adventure title. It’s an impressive game that awed franchise fans and critics everywhere. Despite its success, Cory Barlog met with diverse challenges as he directed God of War, but he’s now onto his next grand endeavor. Rumor has it that it may be Barlog’s biggest game yet.
Duncan Jones, director titles like Moon, Source Code, and the Warcraft film among others, recently met with the renown Barlog for a friendly meet and greet. What began as a business meeting to discuss script ideas gave way to possible news of the God of War director’s next project. See below:

Take note of the second tweet from Jones, wherein he mentions that “…if you think that God of War is his magnum opus, just you wait.” From the perspective of someone who thoroughly enjoyed the game, that’s juicy news indeed! There have not been official announcements from any publishers or developers involving Barlog, but it’s likely being kept under wraps for the time being. In April of this year, the director did mention his ideas for a brand new IP, something from his “original vision.” Perhaps we’ll see get to see what he meant in the near future?
