Giant Shark Easter Egg in Battlefield 1 Has Been Found, Here’s How to Trigger the Encounter (VIDEO)

Players have yet to find all the hidden eggs in the game, but that’s the eventual goal! A giant shark Easter egg has been found in Battlefield 1 and thankfully it’s not as complex to achieve as some may be thinking already. While it is rather hilarious to find a creature that lived a few million years ago (Megalodon) within the setting of World War I, the developers obviously had fun with this one. Requiring the eventual blood sacrifice of players at Fort de Vaux, the people at the BFEE (Battlefield Easter Egg) community managed to pull it off. YouTuber jackfrags records an informational walk-through about how to unlock the gigantic shark which can be seen below:

Essentially, the 3 minute clip takes players through turning on these red valves at Fort de Vaux simultaneously. In order to pull it off, the in-game clock must be utilized for synchronization or another form of communication with a team of people is required. After that task has been completed, a crater located at C point will fill up with water and there’s one last thing to do. In order to wake up the killer fish, a grenade must be thrown down a hole located near point B. Down a hallway will be a nook that contains a stack of boxes and it must be destroyed to access an open pipe. Once that has been done, three melee blood sacrifices are required inside the pool which will also turn it dark red in color. Finally, all players have to do is run on in and trigger the deadly animation.

According to jackfrags, the giant shark Easter egg can be triggered without interacting with the red valves. In order to do so, just throw the grenade down the previously mentioned hole and get those three kills within the pool of murky water. However, it’s unclear if that’s just a bug. Regardless, it’s a pretty grand find and a fun one to do with friends or other curious players.
