Giant Pokemon Can Be In Your Photos Thanks to Dynamax Camera
Dynamax Pokemon have been the talk of this new generation of the games, but we’re still a little while away from playing as them. Luckily Nintendo has you covered with something to hold you over.
One of Pokemon Sword & Shield’s “biggest” features is the introduction of the Dynamax Pokemon. This will allow trainers to temporarily supersize a Pokemon during battle. This will work similarly to Mega Evolutions as the player will be restricted to using this ability on one monster per battle, but it will also greatly increase their stats. They will also have access to new moves called Max Moves, which act as supercharged versions of that Pokemon’s regular moveset. Players can only use Dynamaxing in special areas, like the new soccer-inspired stadium Gyms.
Starting today, players can visit the Dynamax Camera website to upload their own photos where Dynamax creatures will appear! The site is in Japanese only, but it’s pretty easy to figure out. First, scan the QR code using your phone’s camera app, this will take you to a mobile version of the site. From there hit the purple button with a camera on it and either upload or take a photo. It’s recommended to use an outdoor photo with a mix of objects in the foreground and background for best results. Finally, the website will generate a pokemon and place them in the picture. They really look huge in these photos! We’ll finally be able to battle with Dynamax Pokemon ourselves when Pokemon Sword and Shield release on Nintendo Switch on November 15.
