Ghostwire: Tokyo Announced At E3 2019 (VIDEO)

E3 2019 is off to a tremendous start so far, with Microsoft dominating the expo earlier today with the official reveal of Xbox Scarlett, Elden Ring, and more. Now that Bethesda has taken the stage, fans have plenty to look forward to with new and exciting information coming for Fallout 76, The Elder Scrolls Online, and more. One of the new titles announced during Bethesda’s proceedings is Ghostwire: Tokyo, a brand new IP from the folks at Tango Gameworks.

Tango Gameworks took to the stage tonight at E3 2019 to announce Ghostwire: Tokyo, a new action-adventure game that takes place in Tokyo during, well, some very strange times. According to the trailer, there have been rampant disappearances occurring all throughout the city, and it is up to the player to seek out the source and put an end to it. Players will have access to “mysterious spectral abilities” as they combat what is stated to be “the occult,” which has a heavy presence alongside “urban legends” shown throughout the trailer. Check it out below:

While not much is yet known about Ghostwire: Tokyo, Bethesda Softworks has revealed the following blurb about the game:

“After strange disappearances hit Tokyo’s population, it’s up to you to uncover the source and purge the city of a strange, new evil. Armed with your own mysterious spectral abilities, you will face down the occult, unravel conspiracy theories and experience urban legends like never before. Don’t fear the unknown. Attack it.”

Ghostwire: Tokyo is now in development.
