Ghost Recon Breakpoint Live-Action Trailer Reveals Jon Bernthal’s Guttural Backstory (VIDEO)

Ghost Recon Breakpoint

First shown in Operation: Oracle during the events of Ghost Recon Wildlands, Cole D. Walker was later revealed to be the main antagonist for the upcoming Ghost Recon Breakpoint. While fans have been given some backstory into why the character has taken control of the archipelago of Auroa, there hasn’t been too much information as to his background with the Ghosts and the reasons behind why he left. Now a new trailer has arrived that looks to answer some of these questions and features the one and only John Bernthal in the flesh to do so.

The recent trailer shows off a young Walker throughout his career in the military, then as a Ghost operative, and then finally, turning his back on the organization and coming into his own as a Wolf. Throughout the video, Walker talks about how the once-great United States of America has fallen prey to corruption, governed by fools and those who no longer care for sacrifice and honor. It was for this reason that he one day reached his breaking point, turning his back on those he once called friends and brothers to complete his own agenda.

Towards the end of the Ghost Recon Breakpoint video, he calls for players to discover their own “breakpoint” that when described as a military term refers to a moment when a unit has lost their combat effectiveness and must change their posture from attack to defend, defend to retreat, or even retreat to survive. With one of the major components of the upcoming title being players having to survive the harsh environment and the Wolves it makes sense that the title would have a large focus on the military definition of a “breakpoint.”

Our very own Liana “LiLi” Ruppert recently hung out with Ubisoft last month and played over 7 hours of the game and dove deep into why he’s such a perfect villain. You can read why she thinks so right here with her work over on Prima Games!

Ghost Recon Breakpoint is set arrive on October 9th for PC, Xbox One, and PlayStation 4. Let us know your thoughts on the latest live-action trailer of Cole D. Walker and more in the comments section below. As always don’t forget to follow Don’t Feed the Gamers on Twitter for 24/7 coverage of all things gaming and entertainment.
