Rapper T-Pain Reveals His Perfect Tekken 7’s Leroy Smith Cosplay

With modern comic conventions looming large in the world of pop culture, one of the most honored pastimes for celebrating one’s favorite fictional characters is through cosplay. From the Marvel Cinematic Universe to Borderlands, talented fans across the globe have found extraordinary ways to bring their favorite characters to life. Even major celebrities have gotten in on the action, with WWE wrestler Xavier Woods and actress Jamie Lee Curtis having shared cosplays of their own with the public at conventions. Now, rapper T-Pain has hit the cosplay scene with his new Leroy Smith cosplay based on the Tekken 7 character.

T-Pain shared his Leroy Smith cosplay that he brought out for Dragon Con this past weekend on his official Instagram account. For those unaware, Leroy Smith is one of the new fighters for Tekken 7 announced just a few weeks ago. Smith is an African American character whose clothing style is heavily stylized after real life Wing Chun master Ip Man. The character has not even officially come to the game yet, so T-Pain’s cosplay very well may be the first cosplay for the character out in the wild.

T-Pain also shared photos of his cosplay with fellow celebrity cosplayer Xavier Woods, of WWE’s The New Day fame. Both are known video game enthusiasts, but it is truly special for both celebrities to attend such a crowded convention. Even if attendees didn’t recognize T-Pain in his cosplay, hopefully the kind con goers admired his cosplay enough to go to the Bartender at the Dragon Con hotels to Buy Him A Drank.
