Ghost Of Tsushima Reveals Legends DLC Release Date, New Game+ Details
The previously revealed Ghost of Tsushima ‘Legends’ DLC finally has a release date. Announced earlier this year, Legends brings multiplayer to the Sucker Punch title in the form of a co-op vs AI mode. The arrival of the Legends DLC also coincides with the release of Ghost of Tsushima update 1.1, which adds loads of new features and the highly anticipated New Game+ mode.
Sucker Punch Senior Game Designer Darren Bridges recently took to the PlayStation Blog site to detail what’s to come in the new update. According to Bridges, players can choose between one of four classes in the upcoming Legends mode, each with their own unique ability and a vast assortment of unlockable class-specific Charms and ranged weapons. Players won’t be locked into playing a certain class if there’s already a duplicate on the team, though, so there’s a fairly sizable amount of potential class combinations to test out.
One of the more unexpected elements of Version 1.1 is the addition of multiplayer story missions. The Ghost of Tsushima: Legends Story Missions are specifically designed for two players, while both the new Survival Missions and the ‘Iyo’s Realm’ Raid will be playable by a total of four players. The former two modes will be available upon release of Version 1.1, while the Raid is slated to release “in the weeks following the launch of Ghost of Tsushima: Legends.”
As for New Game+, players can take Jin for another spin around the island of Tsushima while utilizing all of the unlockables obtained on the player’s first journey. Difficulty will of course be increased, though players can still choose to lower it via the menu if the heat becomes too much to bear. As one would expect, playing through New Game+ comes with its own set of perks, including a new mount with a beautiful red mane and a unique saddle. Players can also snag powerful new Charms to make their trek through New Game+ that much easier.
Ghost of Tsushima: Legends is slated to release on October 16, 2020.
