Just a few short weeks following the arrival of Ayaka, Genshin Impact will soon be welcoming Yoimiya as the game’s latest playable character. With her impending arrival just a few short days away, developer miHoYo has released the full details on both the firework maker’s character banner and the accompanying weapon banner, which brings with it the new Thundering Pulse bow.

Genshin Impact developer miHoYo took to social media to detail what to expect from the new batch of content. Titled Tapestry of Golden Flames, the Event Wish featuring Yoimiya kicks off on August 10 at 19:00 server time and runs up until August 31 at 15:59. The featured character is Yoimiya, as mentioned, as is the new sleepy ninja character Sayu. Joining Sayu in the 4* character pool is both Xinyan and Diona.

Those that get lucky and pull Yoimiya know that doing so is only half the battle, as Genshin Impact typically also releases new weapons that just so happen to be ideal for the featured character on the accompanying banner. This is the case for the new bow weapon Thundering Pulse, which goes quite well with the Normal Attack-centric Queen of Summer on Narukami Island. Details on the weapon can be seen below:

The Event Wish for the new weapon runs along the same timeframe as the Yoimiya banner, with the 5* pool featuring both Thundering Pulse and Skyward Blade. Also available in the 4* pool is Sacrificial Blade, Rainslasher, Dragon’s Bane, Sacrificial Fragments, and Favonius Warbow. The official visual for the new weapon banner is shown below:

There is at least some good news to be had for those attempting to pull Thundering Pulse. The ‘Epitomized Path’ pity mechanic introduced with the Inazuma region is still in effect here, so those that get unlucky and pull two Skyward Blades – or some other 5* weapon – are guaranteed to obtain Thundering Pulse for their next 5* weapon pull. just as long as they’ve ‘set’ the path towards their preferred weapon prior to pulling. Even if you don’t plan on pulling on the weapon banner, it’s good practice to set the path as soon as the new banners go live. You never know!
