Friday The 13th Releases Sinister Trailer For Upcoming Paranoia Game Mode (VIDEO)
It’s easy to tell that the developers behind Friday the 13th: The Game, are excited for this next update. For their upcoming new Paranoia game mode, Gun Media attaches a somewhat cryptic hashtag to each announcement that reads “#whoisfiVe”. Those enjoying the game for what it is, and perhaps didn’t follow the main storyline of the serial killer, may not have even the slightest inkling of what it could mean. It only gets sinister and raises more questions with the release of their announcement trailer seen below. Please be warned that there may be spoilers ahead, read the information below at your own risk.
Although it seems at first very vague, the hint is quite clear for anyone that has followed the different parts. Clearly, the capitalized V (5) refers to the fifth “Jason“, but it came with a wee bit of a twist. The phrase “wolf in sheep’s clothing” might offer an inkling of substance as well. In part five, the killer was not the Jason we’ve all come to recognize. In fact, it was revealed that someone else was behind the scenes and covering up their tracks with his kill count. Have you figured it out?
It would then be reasonable to conclude that Jason will not take part in the upcoming Paranoia game mode. In order to make it all the more exciting, Gun Media must have something special up their sleeve. If the entire premise of the game is revealed, how do they plan on making it equally mysterious and exciting? How do other counselors find out which one is the killer? If that’s not the question, who gets to be the killer? The terror of anticipation and the unknown!
Friday the 13th‘s new game mode does not have a release date, but their official social media accounts and forum updates tease that it will be coming very soon. The cherry on top is that this additional content will be coming to players at no additional cost, and everything is better when it’s free.
