Predator: Hunting Grounds Is Getting Arnold Schwarzenegger DLC

Arnold Schwarzenegger Predator: Hunting Grounds

Nerd culture has plenty of heroes and icons, but very few are as instantly recognizable to the wider world than Arnold Schwarzenegger. After spending years as the governor of California, the Austrian-American has returned to acting, which has included a reprisal of perhaps his most famous role, The Terminator. While Arnold has seemed open to returning to past franchises, he ultimately passed on voicing the Terminator character in Mortal Kombat 11. However, it seems that Arnold Schwarzenegger is not entirely opposed to lending his voice to the world of games, as he has been confirmed to appear in the newly announced Predator: Hunting Grounds DLC.

Illfonic announced the new Predator: Hunting Grounds DLC on the official PlayStation Blog recently. Chief Creative Officer of the studio Jared Gerritzen announced the new series of content, starting with a new pack that focuses on Arnold Schwarzenegger’s character Dutch from the first Predator film. The free update will add a new series of tapes recorded by Dutch after the events of the first film that detail what happened to him throughout the franchise’s ensuing history. These tapes will be awarded to the player as they level up in the game.

Thankfully, Illfnoic was able to get Arnold Schwarzenegger himself to reprise the role of Dutch, even after being absent from the franchise since its first movie. In addition to the free tapes, Arnold’s character Dutch is now available as a playable paid-DLC character. Included with this DLC pack are QR5 “Hammerhead” Rifle and Dutch’s iconic Knife weapons as well. All of these Dutch DLC additions will be made available later this month on May 26th. Even though Arnold never said “I’ll be back” as Dutch, Predator fans are surely glad to see his return in the fight against the alien hunter.
