Fortnite Leak Reveals Wreck-It Ralph Event May Be On The Way (VIDEO)

The folks over at Epic Games have always done their best to keep the gameplay within Fortnite as fresh as possible, even if that means blowing some stuff up and starting over. That said, in the spirit of destruction, it appears that a special Wreck-It-Ralph event may be headed to the popular battle royale game.

A recent leak that was posted on Twitter has revealed a hidden video file from within Fortnite’s game code, featuring none other than Wreck-It-Ralph himself. Given that the Wreck-It-Ralph 2: Ralph Breaks the Internet movie is coming out soon, it appears that Epic Games is poised to take advantage of this and bring the titular hero to Fortnite. Check out the leaked video below:

As mentioned by Twitter user @TheLittleYH, the video was found in C:\Program Files\Epic Games\Fortnite\Fortnite\FortniteGame\Content\Movies\Promotions, which isn’t exactly the sneakiest place to hide an upcoming promotional event for Fortnite. The actual name of the file is rather indicative as well. “18_1023_RiR_Reels_2397_2CBR_TESTVERSION_v2.mp4” is the name of the file, with the “RiR_Reels” part possibly pointing to the Risky Reels location within the game’s Battle Royale mode.

This is of course a leak, and as such it should be taken with a grain of salt. That said, Wreck-It-Ralph’s art style looks like it would mesh pretty well with Fortnite’s aesthetic, so chances are we’ll hear something official from Epic Games sooner rather than later.

Fortnite is now available on PC, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch.
