Fire Emblem Warriors Adds Four More Characters and Reveals European Release Date (VIDEO)

During Gamescom 2017, Koei Tecmo Games and Nintendo have revealed a European release date and the addition of four more characters to Fire Emblem Warriors debuting this Fall 2017. In addition to the slew of characters already announced, Hinoka, Takumi, Camilla, and Leo have been added. Additionally, the game will be available for those residing in Europe beginning October 20th, 2017.

In a similar hack-and-slash gameplay style as Dynasty Warriors, familiar faces from across the different worlds introduced within the Fire Emblem franchise must battle against soldiers and monsters of the Chaos Dragon. In order to stop this newfound enemy threatening the fate of their world, the heroes must team up to stop them. That also means the two warring families in the Fire Emblem Fates series, the Nohr and Hoshido, must put aside their differences for the greater good. Check out the Gamescom 2017 trailer below:

In a mysterious incident, in which both the Nohrian and Hoshidan families have been transported to a different world, the two team up to help quell the chaos in Aytolis and assist the twin siblings Rowan and Lianna in defeating the Chaos Dragon.

Unfortunately, when it comes to a release date for the United States, one has not been confirmed. However, Fire Emblem Warriors is intended for release on the Nintendo Switch and new 3DS. In fact, for those with a collector within, there’s a limited edition collection that includes character cards, a three-disc soundtrack and, of course, the game.

So, gamers, what are your thoughts on the confirmed roster so far? Is this a Koei Tecmo game you’re looking forward to? After all, it’s the same team that developed the Hyrule Warriors title.
