Fire Emblem Expo Announced For Next Year

Fire Emblem is an incredible series both in style, story, and an original world full of expansive lore, heartbreak, and challenging gameplay. It has a notably loyal fan base in Japan and across the world, but muted by triple-A games and mainstream Nintendo franchises like The Legend of Zelda, Mario, and Super Smash Bros. Despite this, the big N and company have announced an entire expo dedicated to Fire Emblem.

The reveal arrived via Japan’s F.E. Twitter, revealing a unique site that launched just for the event, which is set to debut on May 4th, 2019. Though information is limited and in Japanese, the site doe reveal that more information is soon to come soon. As a matter of fact, it’s just a few days away on December 8th, 2018. Check it out:

What does this mean for the Fire Emblem series exactly? Could this be Nintendo’s method of revitalizing the series and its fanbase? Could there be a special announcement incoming? Since the grand event won’t launch until the middle of Spring season, it’s the perfect time for a complete renewal. This isn’t to say the series isn’t good, but it’s certainly been left on the back-burners in terms of marketing. At least, that’s how it feels in the presence of announcements like the aforementioned titanic franchises.

In 2017 alone, the developers released three separate titles for the series – Warriors, Fire Emblem Echoes: Shadows of Valentia, and Heroes. In the coming year, Nintendo will release another titled Three Houses for the Nintendo Switch, revealed earlier this year at E3 2018. In just a few days, we’ll get to see what the crew has in store for current and future fans.
