Final Fantasy XII: The Zodiac Age Now Available On Xbox Game Pass

Yet another Final Fantasy game has finally made its way onto the Xbox Game Pass. Joining the ranks of existing FF titles available though Microsoft’s subscription service is none other than Final Fantasy XII: The Zodiac Age, considered to be the definitive edition of the original PS2 title that released back in 2006.

As revealed by Microsoft, Final Fantasy XII: The Zodiac Age is now available on Xbox Game Pass for console and PC. Given that the game still goes for about $50 on other platforms, the title’s availability on the Xbox Game Pass makes it graciously convenient for those not looking to plunk down more money on another remaster. “Return to the World of Ivalice,” the game’s description reads. “This HD remaster is based on the smash hit 12th instalment of the FINAL FANTASY series, which has shipped over 6,100,000 units worldwide, featuring a new, re-worked game design!”

Not only have the graphics and sound been updated to take advantage of the power of new hardware, but the core game design has also been tweaked to produce an evolution of the original FFXII fitting for the current generation. Enjoy a classic adventure reborn!”

This is by no means the first Final Fantasy game to have been released on the Xbox Game Pass, with the likes of Final Fantasy VII, Final Fantasy VIII Remastered, Final Fantasy IX, and Final Fantasy XV already onboard. That’s not all the FF games Microsoft promised to add to the subscription service, though the company mentioned last month that it would honor its commitment and bring the missing titles to Xbox Game Pass “in 2021 and beyond.”

Final Fantasy XII: The Zodiac Age is now available on PC, PS4, Nintendo Switch, and Xbox One.
