The Final Destiny Trials of Osiris and Iron Banner Event Details Revealed by Bungie
As anticipation grows with the story-rich and progressing Destiny 2, Bungie wants to do one last hurrah for players of the original title. The final events to take place in the MMORPG hybrid looms nearer and with that, comes more details on when to catch the festivities, including the Destiny Trials of Osiris and final Iron Banner details.
Bungie announced to its Destiny player base during a recent ‘This Week at Bungie” segment gave Guardians specific on the upcoming, and final, events for the original game. Here is the timeline below:
- The final Destiny 1-era Iron Banner – August 1st
- The final Destiny 1-era Trial of Osiris – August 11th
If you’ve got that competitor streak in you and want to shoot for the exclusive (and customizable) ‘Age of Triumph‘ t-shirt, you need to have already reached rank 7 and be noted in the Age of Triumph Record Book. If not completed, players will not receive the secret discount code which keeps the shirts at an unobtainable price. Want to go for that rank? It’s not too late, here are the dates for the upcoming events before the finale – but make sure to get in there before the cut off date on August 1st:
- Every Weekend: Trials of Osiris
- July 4, 2017: Iron Banner
- July 4, 2017: King’s Fall Weekly Featured Raid
- July 11, 2017: Wrath of the Machine Weekly Featured Raid
- July 18, 2017: Crota’s End Weekly Featured Raid
- July 18, 2017: Daybreak Month Begins
- July 25, 2017: Vault of Glass Weekly Featured Raid
- August 1, 2017: Age of Triumph Shirt Offer Expires
Bungie also talks Destiny 2 and where the future of these events lie. According to their vague, yet poetic, description – these events will carry over into Destiny 2 in a new way.
Destiny 2 is rapidly approaching, like a sneak attack that’s just about to crest the horizon. This means that our two competitive end game experiences will be going into hibernation before reemerging to spread their beautiful wings in unexpected ways in Destiny 2.”
Destiny 2 officially drops on September 6th of this year for the Xbox One and PlayStation 4, with the PC dates coming in at October 24th. If the date seems a little off, that’s because the company recently announced the decision to make the release date a little bit sooner for reasons you can see right here.
