Fallout New California Mod Team Reveals Fresh, Original Soundtrack
Fallout 76 likely will occupy a lot of the spare time that Fallout fans have, but just a few weeks before that will see the release of a Fallout mod that has been long in the making. Fallout New California, a mod set as a prequel to Fallout New Vegas, has been slated for a release this October. The glimpses of the game that have been seen so far indicate that the modding team is quite passionate about mirroring the Fallout experience from official games in the series. Now, they have taken another step towards mimicking the experience by detailing their original Fallout New California soundtrack.
In a post on their official Facebook page, the Fallout New California mod team released new information about the original soundtrack for the mod. According to the post, the game will not only feature an original ambient soundtrack to play during the game, but two full albums each containing songs with lyrics for the in-game radio. The ambient soundtrack will run at just under 2 hours, while each of the two radio song albums will be about 50 minutes in length.
For the ambient music, artists Erich von Hildburghausen and Christana Udracon have contributed original works. Vocalist Martin Purvis and musician Pablo Cortina have created one of the albums that will aim to pay tribute to classic music from the 50s, while musicians Shik Shadle and The Addiction contributed more punk-stylized songs. Having this much original music in a mod is no small feat, and will surely help this mod stand out among others as a real labor of love. Hopefully it gets a true chance to shine before Fallout 76 steals all the nuclear thunder.
