Fallout 76 Is Finally Getting Private Servers, Mods Coming Soon

Fallout 76

Fallout 76 hasn’t exactly received the best attention since it launched nearly a year ago, but that hasn’t stopped Bethesda from working hard behind the scenes to improve the online wasteland experience. That said, while their massive free Wastelanders update has been delayed until next year, another update that will be arriving next week will be bringing private servers along with it. In addition to this, mod support is on the way!

“We’re happy to announce our work on the service for private servers is complete and will be launching next week,” reads the official Fallout 76 post on the Bethesda website. “The ability to play in your own private world with your friends has been the number one community-requested feature, and we’re thrilled it’s finally coming. Our goal for players who purchase this service is to offer something for everyone, not just those who want a private server. Additionally, in the future you’ll be able to mod your worlds. Stay tuned for more information on the service in the coming days.”

Not much else was said about mod support in the future, but it is great to know that it is happening, especially considering the massive modding community for the Fallout games. Plus, the likes of Fallout 76 is perfect for modding, and with the addition of private servers, this is sure to be a huge win for players.
