Fallout 76 To Add Backpacks And Pioneer Scouts In Next Update

Early next month, Fallout 76 players can look forward to a new update being released that adds a new faction called the Pioneer Scouts and the addition of backpacks. The team over at Bethesda took to the official Fallout Twitter to make the announcement of the upcoming changes.

With these new additions, Wastelanders can expect to take on new missions which challenge their skills in survival, teamwork, research, discovery, and innovation – all tenants of the new Pioneer Scouts faction. For displaying such abilities, can bring great new rewards – like a fancy new backpack.

Brave Vault-dwellers might wonder, who exactly are these Pioneer Scouts. The team at Bethesda were sure to provide a short introduction to who they are, per the games website:

The intrepid Pioneer Scouts have a long history of inspiring the children of Appalachia to strive “ever upwards” on missions of self-improvement and the betterment of their communities. However, a lack of interested children in the wake of the Great War has caused active scout numbers to dwindle. So, the Pioneer Scouts are taking their philosophy of inclusivity to a whole new level by accepting recruits of all ages.”

For players who more interested in the backpacks that are coming to Fallout 76, we are as excited as you are! These new functional items are more than just cosmetic items – though there are many options for players to acquire. The new parcels will allow players to increase their carry weight and allow them to “have room for more supplies when you head into the great outdoors.” Check out all of the options below:
