Fall Guys: Ultimate Knockout Devs Tease Future Content

Fall Guys: Ultimate Knockout New Content Teased

The past couple of weekends have been filled with players flocking to the upcoming battle royale title from Mediatonic. With its interesting take on the genre, Fall Guys: Ultimate Knockout is looking like it could possibly make a run at esports, but we’ll have to see what the future brings after launch. Speaking of which, the devs recently teased a ton of content that will likely be arriving in the future.

During a recent AMA on Reddit, the developers answered many questions regarding Fall Guys, a bounty of which pertained to new content. According to lead level designer ScrambledMeg, they’ve got a plethora of ideas. “We literally have huge spreadsheets full of level ideas that we love but haven’t had the time to implement due to a pretty short dev cycle,” they said. “There will be variations of existing game modes as well as brand new levels with new mechanics. These will drop with the season content or on the off occasion might get dropped whenever we can get it in.”

It was recently revealed that Fall Guys: Ultimate Knockout is going to be available for free on PlayStation 4 via PlayStation Plus in August, which is an interesting choice considering the game launches on August 4th. When asked about this decision, senior community manager OliverAge24Artist noted how Rocket League helped influence them as the popular car soccer game has been one of their inspirations. “Sony were really enthusiastic about the game when we showed them an early version of it, and we felt that taking this route would help expose the game to a far larger audience than we could have reached on our own,” they said. “Also, it’s something that worked super well for Rocket League which has been one of our inspirations.”

Fall Guys: Ultimate Knockout will be launching on August 4th for PC and PlayStation 4, and by the sound of it, there will be much more content to come. Keep it tuned to Don’t Feed the Gamers as this story develops, and for other gaming goodness going on right now, check out the following:
