Fable 4 Reveal Possibly Being Hinted At By Microsoft
As it currently stands, a glorious pot of golden next-generation video game consoles are currently slated to release at the end of the abysmal rainbow that is 2020. The return of the Halo franchise has already been promised for next-gen, and long-dormant series like Mass Effect are rumored to return as well. One such dormant franchise is the Fable series, which has been rumored to have a new entry in the works for years now. Well, some new messages from Microsoft have many fans believing that a Fable 4 reveal for the Xbox Series X could be coming in the near future.

As reported on Prima Games, Microsoft recently released some new tweets that made many Xbox players respond with their hopes for Fable 4. The first tweet on the official Xbox Twitter account references the popular “When your custom character shows up in a cutscene” meme, with one text-based stick figure having its head replaced with a chicken emoji. Given that it was only the head replaced, many Fable fans responded, believing the tweet to be a reference to the infamous Chicken Chaser from the Fable games.

When one fan asked if the tweet was intended to be a Fable reference specifically, the Xbox Twitter account responded by stating “If you weren’t wearing the Chicken Hat, were you ever really a hero?” While this does not confirm that a new Fable game is being announced soon, or even if the tweet was originally meant as a simple Fable joke, it has provided hope to Fable followers wondering if Microsoft has forgotten about Peter Molyneux’s medieval fantasy world. While there was no Fable announcement at last week’s Inside Xbox presentation, hopefully the Chicken Chasers find their poultry prey soon in one of the other digital gaming presentations coming this summer.
