E3 2019 is just a few months away, and developers are readying their best flagships for the big event. However, with several big key players like PlayStation and E3 reducing their presence at this year’s show, many are wondering whether other developers will be excluding themselves as well. One big developer that has assured everyone of their return is Bethesda, which has already confirmed that they will include Doom Eternal as a part of their show. Many have been wondering whether or not Bethesda would provide any Elder Scrolls VI or Starfield E3 2019 activity this year, but now there are finally some answers.

Bethesda has been hosting livestreams of their panels at PAX East this weekend, as seen on their official YouTube channel. One Bethesda panel included director Todd Howard, who was asked about the possibility of seeing Elder Scrolls VI or Starfield E3 2019 presentations happen. His response was unfortunately a negative for those hoping to see either game this year, saying:

Before everyone asks, please be patient. It’s going to be a long time. It’s not something we’re going to be talking about at E3, either of those games, this year. And so patience, please, but you know, given the anniversary, we did want to give everybody a taste…”

So, unfortunately neither game will have anything to show at E3 this year. Bethesda seemed to be fairly clear with both games’ announcements last year that neither was very far at all in development and would likely take years before they were released. Bethesda has said before that Starfield would likely release before Elder Scrolls, but even that lead still has it far away from completion. Here’s hoping fans find a pleasant surprise announcement to make up for this, like dog companions being added to Fallout 76.
