EA Play Live Delayed Into Late June
This month’s EA Play Live has become just one gaming event of many that have been delayed this year due to ongoing events. This time, though, the cause isn’t the ongoing pandemic. Instead, Electronic Arts has released a statement confirming that EA Play Live has been delayed due to other, more important conversations taking place around the world.
EA recently took to Twitter to announce that this month’s EA Play Live, which was originally scheduled for June 11th, has been pushed back further into June. The new date is now June 18th at 4pm PDT / 7pm EDT. Here’s the full tweet:

EA Play Live isn’t the first gaming event to be delayed due to the protests following the death of George Floyd. Earlier this week, Sony officially postponed its highly anticipated PlayStation 5 Game Reveal Event, offering a message similar to EA’s as the reason behind the delay.
EA has yet to reveal which titles will be featured during the now delayed event, though chances are it’ll follow its ongoing format of a blend of live gaming broadcasts and community content. The publisher may release a schedule or a better outline for the event as we approach its new date. In the meantime, those looking to sink their teeth into some EA Games can now do so on Steam, which recently received a batch of EA titles that are now on sale.
