Critical Role Merchandise

Despite the ever-evolving world of high tech video gaming, the primitive world of tabletop gaming has seen a glorious resurgence in recent years. Much of this has been attributed to tabletop-focused internet video series and podcasts, such as The Adventure Zone and Critical Role. The latter having been a breakout success story that even managed to lead to official partnerships with Dungeons & Dragons and even an upcoming animated series on Amazon. The series has had merchandise available online before, but finding legitimate Dungeons & Dragons or Critical Role merchandise at physical retail stores has been nearly impossible. However, it seems that Hot Topic is looking to break this travesty.

As reported on Prima Games, several sources have reported sightings of the new Dungeons & Dragons and Critical Role merchandise appearing at Hot Topic stores in the US. Perhaps the most noteworthy spotting was that of one fan who had their tweet shared by Critical Role cast member Laura Bailey on her official Twitter account. She seems to confirm that a deal was struck to sell Critical Role shirts, hoodies and more at Hot Topic stores, and that more information would be coming soon.

Currently, Hot Topic does not list any official Critical Role merchandise on their website, but they do have some Dungeons & Dragons themed shirts, jewelry and figures available. It seems for the immediate term, the Critical Role merchandise will be rolled out randomly, so visit a store near you to see if the goods are in stock. This only proves the growing mainstream appeal not just for Critical Role, but tabletop gaming in general, and it will Nott be denied. If you do deny it, you’d have to be a Jester.
