Dragon Ball FighterZ: Android 17, Cooler Available Now With Free Update (VIDEO)

We’ve expected Dragon Ball FighterZ to release their next DLC for a while now, having initially teased the transforming villain Cooler earlier last month. The weeks since have introduced even more into the fold with the introduction of park ranger Android 17 and a featureful free content update slated for the end of September. The exact release date for all this goodness has remained a mystery up until recently, with the fighters having now officially gone live.

Of course, these powerful, long-awaited contenders won’t be the only content worth looking forward to, as FighterZ has also brought a few additions along in its newest Free Content update. It notably debuts the Galactic Arena stage, a large tournament stadium sporting a pair of huge screens looming overhead. The monitors aren’t there for decoration either, as they display users’ statistics and fighter information, adding a bit of personalization to the punch-powered proceedings.

Dragon Ball FighterZ will also introduce additional goodies such as Halloween-themed Z Capsule loot, as well as the debut of 1v1 and 2v2 variations to all modes in the game. The update will lastly offer players new tiers for ranked matches, adding forms such as Super Saiyan Rose, Ultra Instinct, and the grand multiversal diarch Zen-Oh to the list of obtainable power levels. It’s over 9000, indeed! Check it all out in the video below.

With the eventful debut of Cooler and Android 17, all of the previously foretold DLC characters are now officially unveiled. The above video promises a comfortable string of Free Content updates in the future, but no further characters have been hinted at past the latest two additions While it’s possible more could appear down the line, it’s equally as likely Dragon Ball FighterZ could go the Injustice 2 route and wrap it up after releasing all slated content. Or maybe not! We do have that big bad Broly movie dropping in a few months.

Dragon Ball FighterZ is out now for PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One. A Nintendo Switch version is set to arrive on September 28th.
