Dragon Age Comic “Deception” Reveals Next Issue In Series

Aside from the video games and the adult novel recently introduced to the real world, the comics fill in the gaps of Dragon Age lore or introduce interesting side characters. One such miniseries is titled Deception. Headed by writers Nunzio DeFilippis and Christina Weir, artist and colorist Fernando Heinz Furukawa and Michael Atiyeh respectively grace the stories with their illustrations and remarkable eye for detail. Of course, the one and only Sachin Teng works magic for the front cover.

Thanks to the fine folks over at ComicBook, here’s a first look at the second issue. The first issue introduced main protagonist Olivia Pryde, a failed actress turned con artist who uses her allure and people-savvy nature to make ends meet. However, she learns her next target isn’t all he seems. Marking the head of a wealthy family in Tevinter, Calix Quintara, Pryde finds herself in ties of trouble. After finding herself too far intertwined in Calix’s life, she soon finds out that she’ll need to find a way out…and soon. Follow the inner turmoil Pryde battles against as she attempts to find her way out of the maze of lies she created.

The official summary for the second issue of Deception is as follows: “BioWare’s bestselling fantasy franchise lives on in these canonical comics from Dark Horse! With limited influence inside the magocracy known as the Tevinter Imperium, the Inquisition turns to strange bedfellows to accomplish a critical mission–a pair of con artists with a rivalry as grand as their performances!”

Issue number two arrives November 14th, 2018 and hosts a whopping 32 pages. To pre-order the second issue of Dragon Age: Deception, check it out on Dark Horse’s page here or place one at your local comic book store.
