Disco Elysium – The Final Cut Release Date Revealed (VIDEO)
As the biggest games in the video game industry only continue to grow more massive, so too are indie games growing their presence and scope in the industry as well. One of the biggest indie darlings to rise in recent years has been Disco Elysium, which many considered to be the best indie game of 2019. Gamers were excited when it was announced that Disco Elysium – The Final Cut would be coming to PC, and for the first time, consoles as well. Now, the release date for The Final Cut version of the game has been revealed, coming sooner perhaps than many expected.
Developer ZA/UM has released a new Disco Elysium – The Final Cut release date trailer on their official Disco Elysium YouTube channel. The trailer describes the game’s unique role-play mechanics and skill tree system that work together to help the player craft their ideal version of the player character detective that suffers memory loss and must recreate their identity. Players will also be responsible for solving a murder case, in-tandem with figuring out their own identity.
The trailer confirms new details about the Final Cut version of the game, including the addition of full voice acting for the game’s dialogue that will further immerse the player in the game’s world. It is also confirmed that the PS5 version of the game will allow for 60fps, 4k visuals and optimized surround sound. Disco Elysium – The Final Cut arrives on March 30th on PC, PS4 and PS5, with Xbox and Nintendo Switch versions of the game coming later this year. The game truly is a marvelous title, especially considering it was produced by an independent studio, and now more players than ever will be able to create their own version of the detective from the ground up.
