Destiny Raid Team Officially Recognized By Guinness World Records

Raids are an essential feature of the Destiny experience and not all ventures are made to go alone. Thanks to the challenges that some Destiny raids offer, members of the community have banded together to get the job done. One such feat was so ambitious, the Guinness Book of World Records recognized them in their latest publication for 2019.

Taking a team of seasoned players led by “Gladd”, meticulous planning, trial and error, Guinness World Records recognized the group for being the “first team to beat every Destiny raid boss without dying or using guns.” Sounds impossible right? Not for these gamers. Check out a thoughtful shout-out on Twitter:

The entry in The Guinness World Records: Gamer’s Edition 2019 reads: “On 14 May 2017, a team of raiders led by Redditor ‘GladHeAteHer182’ (aka ‘Gladd’) completed this epic quest, which required ‘meticulous planning’ and ‘careful strategy’. In total, 12 players contribnuted to the attempt as participants swapped with each other for a much-needed rest over the 60-hour ordeal. ‘Gladd’ announced the achievement, saying: ‘We had come so close SOOO many times, but failed in one way or another. However, persistence led us down the road to victory…FINALLY!'”

Dedication, hard work, 60 hours of maximum effort, and teamwork can do wonders for the gaming community. For these seasoned Destiny players, it gained them a momentous occasion to celebrate and their own place in the record book. That’s what I call bragging rights.

Does their mighty accomplishment inspire you to take on a gaming challenge like that? What do you think of the fact that gamers are being recognized by GWR? That’s certainly a feat in itself.
