Destiny 2 Stadia Players Will Be Separate From PC

Now that Bungie has complete control over what happens with Destiny 2, they are going all-in on the player side of things. This fall, the game is going to be receiving quite the update when part of it goes free-to-play, Google Stadia and Steam are added to the list of platforms, cross-save functionality, and more. That said, the developers have had to recently clarify that cross-play won’t be coming to the game. Not yet, at least.

General manager Mark Noseworthy recently took to Twitter to reassure fans that Bungie is only focused on adding cross-save to Destiny 2 at this time. This was brought up after it was mentioned how those playing on PC will be kept separate from those on Google Stadia when the platform arrives later this year.

It’s certainly understandable how some people might think Destiny 2 is getting a cross-play feature, especially after everything that was announced recently. However, let’s just take it one step at a time and hope we can all play together in the relatively near future.

Destiny 2 is currently available on PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One. It will be arriving on Google Stadia when it launches later this year. Keep it tuned to Don’t Feed the Gamers as this story develops, and for other gaming goodness going on right now, check out the following:
