Destiny 2 Shadowkeep Screenshots Show Off New Weapons And Armor

Destiny 2

Humanity has had a special relationship with the Moon for a very long time, especially when Man first landed on the astronomical body for the very first time back in 1969. The upcoming Destiny 2 Shadokeep expansion appears to be showing off the developers admiration for mankind’s steps into space with some new themed weapons and armor.

The gear was revealed in a recent Bungie Blog post and appears to be themed around Erin Morn, who will be returning for the expansion alongside the first humans who traveled to the Moon and colonized that rock within Destiny lore. The Titan armor, in particular, appears to be crafted using an old astronaut suit with a helmet that almost looks like it came straight out of a Halo game. It wouldn’t be the first time the company has made a reference to their older titles and having split from Activision it’s possible fans will be seeing more easter eggs like that in the future.

Bungie revealed some weapons from the upcoming expansion earlier this year however fans can catch glimpses of three new weapons in all their glory in the most recent image as well. The shotgun, hand cannon, and auto rifle all appear to follow the same theme as the armor. The warlock also appears to be carrying another weapon that’s hidden behind their back. A moon-themed sword perhaps?

The post also revealed some new quality of life changes coming with the most recent update. Gambit Prime and Reckoning reward rates will be highly increased, Moments of Triumph will be extended until August 17th. The post also mentioned that even more surprises lie in wait for the near future.

Destiny 2 is available for PC, Xbox One, and PlayStation 4. Are you excited to take the fight back to the Hive and revisit the Moon?
