Destiny 2: Forsaken’s Last Wish Raid Completed, New Content Unlocked For All

Destiny 2

The story of Forsaken has revitalized Destiny 2, taking an approach similar to that of the Taken King expansion of the first game. After hunting Uldren, the eyes of Guardians turned to the Dreaming City and a request from Queen Mara Sov of the Awoken to eliminate and retrieve the heart of a creature lurking within. The “Last Wish” raid which featured this second hunt was launched just this week and 19 hours after its release, was finally beaten. That isn’t the end of the story however, and new content has launched with the raid being conquered.

Bungie confirmed that the “World’s First” to complete the Last Wish raid was a team of Guardians named Modern, Sweatcicle, Ehroar, Indica, FleshCrunch, and Gladd. The raid consisted of 5 separate encounters, with light levels far higher than what most Guardians have access to currently. In total the World’s First team took 18 hours and 48 minutes to complete, breaking the record for longest undefeated raid by a whole 4 hours. Congratulations Guardians, you’ve earned it!

Just when it seemed that the Last Wish was all the content Destiny 2 had to offer, the Last Wish brought one more surprise. New content has arrived with the raid’s completion in the form of a new strike called “The Corrupted” as well as new missions for players to explore. There is so much more to come, and with so many Guardians all hungry for more – it’s only a matter of time before even more secrets are unveiled.

Destiny 2 is available for PC, Xbox One, and PlayStation 4. Have you challenged the  Last Wish raid yet? What more does Forsaken have to offer?
