The official news regarding the death of Destiny 2’s Cayde-6 is old by now, but his final ta-ta in the universe seemed anticlimactic. Known for his witty sense of humor and comic relief, lighthearted approach to life, and gunslinging skill, it was a difficult page for many in the community to turn. Voiced by the renown actor, Nathan Fillion, the Exo hunter finally gets the farewell debut he deserves.

Titled the “Last Stand of the Gunslinger,” the Destiny 2: Forsaken cinematic takes off after Cayde-6 lands in the Prison of Elders and is promptly surrounded by Scorn enemies. Suffice to say, our mirthful friend gathers all the strength he can muster to put up the last great fight before he’s done…for good. Anyone familiar with his story and his son “Ace” may want to ready a few tissues. Check it out below:

If “I’m coming home, Ace” didn’t get you close to the point of tears, then we’re not sure what will! As the last line he delivers before he meets his final farewell, it’s a contrast to how Cayde-6 has coped with his problems until now. Of course, the cinematic still does the comical hunter justice as he smashed through enemies one by one.

After all the news of Cayde-6’s final chapter in the Destiny universe, are you sad to see him go or do you simply see this as Bungie turning a page? Destiny 2 is available to play now on PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One. The Forsaken DLC will arrive on September 4th, 2018 for all three platforms.
