Demon's Souls Remake: First 18 Minutes Of Gameplay Revealed (VIDEO)

The Demon’s Souls Remake officially released today alongside the PS5, providing those lucky enough to snag Sony’s next-gen console plenty of Souls-like goodness and jolly cooperation early on. For those that weren’t lucky enough to snag a PS5 or are simply sticking with the PS4 for a while longer, the first 18 minutes of gameplay from the Demon’s Souls Remake has been released, hopefully scratching that particular itch in the meantime.

The folks over at IGN recently released the first 18 minutes of the Demon’s Souls Remake. Played in 4K with 60 fps via the Performance Mode, the game’s visuals are absolutely stunning to behold, and should make for some delightful eye candy. Check it out below:

As one would expect, the video takes players through the startup cutscene before depositing us onto the main menu, after which the player mulls about through character creation before starting the game, which takes us into another cutscene. The player then finally gains control over their character and begins slashing and stabbing their way through the tutorial area, at some point ending up in an area that should be familiar to those that have seen early trailers of the game.

One of the real treats from the video is when the player dies and ends up at the Nexus, where they choose to chat with a couple of the NPCs hanging around the area. These NPCs each have their own story to tell, and some of them even bring the player into a mini cutscene for their opening lines.

The Demon’s Souls Remake is now available exclusively on PS5.
