Days Gone’s New Game Plus Mode Arriving Next Week
Bend Studio has announced that its post-apocalyptic title Days Gone is finally getting one of the game’s most highly anticipated features since launch. The developer revealed in a new PlayStation blog post that the game will be receiving an update on September 13th that will add New Game Plus mode. As with most New Game Plus modes, the one coming soon to Days Gone will enable players to start the title over again with the majority of the gear they completed the game with.
Bend Studio game director Jeff Ross opened up about some of the particulars around the upcoming Days Gone New Game Plus mode. According to Ross, players can start the game over again while retaining their weapons, bike upgrades, NERO boosters, skills, recipes, encampment trust and credits, collectibles, and trophy progress unlocked from the very beginning. Perks from patches earned via Challenges will also carry over, and they will be available to use in all difficulty modes going forward.
According to Ross, players can start their New Game Plus run from any save game once the “I’m Never Giving Up” storyline has been completed. New Game Plus can also be played using any of the title’s difficulty modes – including the newly released Hard II and Survival II difficulties – regardless of the difficulty mode the game was played on during the player’s first run-through.
Days Gone is now available for PlayStation 4. The New Game Plus mode update is set to arrive on September 13th.
