Exclusive titles have been seen as the selling point for many platforms over the years, especially when it comes to the likes of PlayStation. That said, we’ve begun to see more PlayStation exclusives make their way to PC over the past year with Horizon Zero Dawn and Quantic Dream’s games. However, it looks like we’re getting more PS titles on PC as Days Gone and more will be coming to the platform in the future.

During a recent interview with GQ, Sony Interactive Entertainment CEO Jim Ryan confirmed that Days Gone will be coming to PC at some point this spring. According to Ryan, this will be the start of even more PlayStation exclusives coming to PC. When asked what changed from their stance of bringing no games to PC, Ryan attributed it to a few things. “We find ourselves now in early 2021 with our development studios and the games that they make in better shape than they’ve ever been before,” Ryan said. “Particularly from the latter half of the PS4 cycle our studios made some wonderful, great games.

“There’s an opportunity to expose those great games to a wider audience and recognise the economics of game development, which are not always straightforward. The cost of making games goes up with each cycle, as the calibre of the IP has improved. Also, our ease of making it available to non-console owners has grown. So it’s a fairly straightforward decision for us to make.”

Of course, no specifics were provided about when to expect Days Gone on PC, but we do know that it is arriving at some point this spring. It is also unknown which other exclusives will be making their way to PC, but fans are surely putting together their wishlists as we speak. God of War and The Last of Us are likely near the top of most lists, but we will just have to wait and see where the journey takes us.
