Witness the Might of Darkseid in Injustice 2’s Latest Character Trailer (VIDEO)
NetherRealm Studios’ upcoming game Injustice 2 has accumulated quite the lengthy roster for the anticipated fighting game, with each new fighter being more varied than the last. A total of 27 DC supers have joined the game’s roster so far, with plenty more teased for later on. The developer has revealed yet another character for the brawl-for-all in the usual way of releasing a character trailer, this time showcasing the Omega-powered supervillain Darkseid. Check it out for yourself below:
In the footage, Darkseid goes up against the tech-savvy Brainiac, making quick work of the cybernetic foe. The militant supervillain’s offense is on full display here, comprising of slow, but powerful melee attacks. Even more apparent is Darkseid’s use of his Omega Force powers, which give him the ability to teleport, fly, and project the Omega Beam, an energy that, in the comics, has been used to erase beings from all of existence. The character’s Super Move fires opponents into space via the Omega Beam, and ends after Darkseid crushes their puny bodies with a super-sized fist from the other side of a portal.
A being of pure hate incarnate, the lord of Apokolips Darkseid demands the total subjugation of all existence. His merciless obsession has left a wake of suffering and obliteration as he seeks the Anti-Life Equation. With his invincible body, limitless strength, army of Parademons, and the annihilating power of his Omega Beams make him not only a threat to this world, but to every world within reach.
There’s less than three weeks remaining until Injustice 2 hits the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. The title’s upcoming May 16 release date means we can fully expect NetherRealm to pull out all the stops on the game’s hype train until launch day. The upcoming reveal of a certain mystery character should ensure that. Be sure to beam back here to Don’t Feed the Gamers to check it out.
