Crysis 4 Officially Announced With First Teaser (VIDEO)
The Crysis franchise has had plenty of ups and downs over the years, particularly with the last release of Crysis 3. While that entry was generally well-received, it didn’t feel like anything particularly special compared to other entries in the franchise. This seemingly wasn’t enough to keep the game down however, as a remastered collection of the series was released just last year. With new attention back on the franchise, it seems a sequel is on the way as developers recently announced that fans can expect a Crysis 4 somewhere in the future.
A recent blog post from Crytek reveals that the company is indeed ready to make a sequel for the Crysis franchise. While there wasn’t too much information revealed about the fourth entry, the post did mention that the game is currently in the early stages of development. The post also acted as a casting call, asking fans who have experience in the game development industry to help mold the title for themselves with a variety of job listings, should they be interested.
There wasn’t much else to the post other than a brief mention of some pretty cool plans for Hunt: Showdown, though, there wasn’t any mention as to what players could expect on that front. Since development is so early, the upcoming Crysis 4 naturally has no set release date quite yet but, perhaps fans might get some more information throughout the year. With any luck, it will become the next big iteration of the franchise, fueling the creation of new games in the future.
