Crash Bandicoot Release Date Allegedly Leaked Online
Just a few months ago, Sony announced the upcoming release of a remastered version of our favorite marsupial, Crash Bandicoot. Titled the N. Sane Trilogy, fans all over were stoked to hear about the game’s re-release, built from the ground up and coming “sometime in 2017” with a host of incredible new features and art. While this was already exciting news to hear, it seems that perhaps one online retailer might have spilled the beans on an actual release date, rumoring that we might be getting that remastered title sooner than we thought.
Announced on Zillion Games, the Brazilian based retailer has stated the remastered trilogy is set for release on February 28th, 2017. This is an incredibly precise date to throw out there, and comes much sooner than we could possibly anticipate. With that thought in mind, gamers should take this with a grain of salt, and wait for official announcement from Vicarious Visions or Activision before getting their hopes up about this February release date. If the developers are redesigning the entire trilogy from over 20 years ago, it’s safe to say that the date given on Zillion Games could very much be incorrect or standing in as a placeholder date.
So far, neither Activision or Vicarious Visions have made comment about the rumored release date, so make sure to check back with us as news on this title’s development continues to roll in. Until then, you can always check out these articles regarding the title’s graphical improvements and Crash’s inclusion in Skylanders Academy to keep you in the know as more developments of the title come along.
So what do you think of the alleged release date rumor? Do you believe Crash Bandicoot will be released to gamers in February or will we be waiting a few more months to get our hands on the title? Let us know your thoughts in the comments below, and game on!
