New Code Vein Trailer Revealed Featuring Companion Yakumo Shinonome (VIDEO)

With the arrival of anime-styled souls-like Code Vein less than three months away, Bandai Namco has begun to release special character trailers introducing us to the various companions our hero or heroine will be able to take with them on their adventures. Just two days ago, the publisher reintroduced us to companion Mia Karnstein, whose purpose is to keep her floofy-hat wearing little brother Nikola from harm. Now, the latest trailer introduces us to Yakumo Shinonome. Check him out below:

Here’s the official description of Yakumo Shinonome from Bandai Namco:

“A Revenant and former mercenary, Yakumo is a faithful man who is good at taking care of others. He is loved by others and conducts himself in a cool and professional manner during combat.”

Yakumo’s story revolves around his search for his former companions, who he refers to as his family. Not unlike Mia and the other companions, Yakumo will support you in your adventures out in the field. Whereas Mia focuses on hit-and-run tactics with her scorpion tail, Yakumo prefers to be in the middle of the action, swinging around his massive greatsword and tearing enemies apart with his Hounds blood veil. Here’s the summary of Code Vein for those that need to catch up:

“In the not too distant future, a mysterious disaster has brought collapse to the world as we know it.  Towering skyscrapers, once symbols of prosperity, are now lifeless graves of humanity’s past pierced by the Thorns of Judgment. At the center of the destruction lies a hidden society of Revenants called Vein. This final stronghold is where the remaining few fight to survive, blessed with Gifts of power in exchange for their memories and a thirst for blood. Give into the bloodlust fully and risk becoming one of the Lost, fiendish ghouls devoid of any remaining humanity. Wandering aimlessly in search of blood, the Lost will stop at nothing to satisfy their hunger. Team up and embark on a journey to the ends of hell to unlock your past and escape your living nightmare in CODE VEIN.”

Code Vein officially releases for PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One on September 27, 2018.
