Bandai Namco Considers Code Vein Multiplayer Support
When most people think of Japanese RPGs, the most prevalent theme that comes to mind is “solo campaign/story”. While it a fact that co-operative play has been a feature available for many role-playing titles, multiplayer is a whole different ballpark. That isn’t to say it’s nonexistent of course, and that’s where Bandai Namco comes in. The developer slash publisher is considering Code Vein multiplayer support.
In the latest interview regarding their latest and upcoming game, developers discussed more in depth the play and story aspects of the game, Iizuka and Yoshimura delved into revealing the possibility of more than just an A.I. combat companion. Producer Keita Iizuka and director Hiroshi Yoshimura reveal more on the matter:
Yes, we are now thinking of the multiplayer support, but we cannot tell about details on this part. However, we really focus on the buddy system in this game so with this idea we negotiating and discussing with the development team to install a multiplayer support system.”
The addition Code Vein multiplayer support wouldn’t be a far-fetched pitch and it can be multiples times more fun playing with other human beings. Then again, it depends on who you ask. Where Bandai decides to go with the multiplayer function is can’t be entirely determined based on what the Iizuka and Yoshimura revealed. However, it would be interesting to see online multiplayer campaign co-op as a possibility, seeing as the game is supposed to test your sanity and skills. It wouldn’t hurt to have someone who knows what they’re doing, since AIs can be a bit fickle.
Code Vein has a release window determined for early 2018 for most major platforms (PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One). So, gamers, what do you think of what has been revealed of the game so far?
