New Co-Op Content and Changes Explained in StarCraft II Patch Notes

The primarily co-op focused update for StarCraft II is now available and introduces a new mission called Dead of Night. This new co-op undertaking comes with patch 3.11 and entails players battling “an endless wave of infected monstrosities.” Three co-op commanders with Hero spawning masteries have been redesigned and others were changed because Blizzard wanted “more compelling choices.” They also reordered some powers so you will have to check and ensure that you’re making the right selection. Here is a list of all the new and adjusted mastery powers that can be found in the StarCraft II patch:

  • Alarak
    • Has new mastery power called Chrono Boost Efficiency:
      • Increases the speed gained from Chrono Boost
  • Karax
    • Has a redesigned Unity Barrier:
      • Gives all friendly units a barrier that blocks an attack or spell that deals at least 20 damage
      • You can only use it once every 4 minutes
  • Kerrigan
    • Has new mastery powers which are:
      • Augmented Immobilization Wave: Increases damage of Immobilization Wave
      • Expeditious Evolutions: Reduces the research time and cost for evolutions
      • Prolonged Mutating Carapace: Decreases degeneration of the shields from Mutating Carapace
  • Zagara
    • Has new mastery powers Evasion and Sustained Frenzy:
      • Evasion adds a chance for the Zerglings to dodge an attack
      • Sustained Frenzy increases the duration of Mass Frenzy
