New CD Projekt RED Origins Video Is Even More Hype for Cyberpunk 2077 Fans (VIDEO)
Cyberpunk 2077 fans are keeping the hype train rolling, and have been ever since the trailer dropped during Microsoft’s presentation at last year’s E3. With CD Projekt RED set to be present at this year’s big event with the futuristic RPG in hand, it looks like they’ve possibly begun their marketing push for the game.
In a recent video from the PlayStation team, Doug Cockle, voice actor for The Witcher himself, guides us through the origins of Polish developer CD Projekt RED. They touch on their humble beginnings and how BioWare played a rather large roll in getting the studio up and running, as well as a few other topics. However, while there isn’t too much about Cyberpunk 2077 featured in the video, fans have decided to keep things optimistic.
Despite the lack of talk of Night City and such, fans believe this just might be the beginning of CD Projekt RED’s marketing push for Cyberpunk 2077. “I doubt they decided, out of the blue, to talk about their company’s origins; it’s definitely kickstarting a series of sorts, a breadcrumb trail of videos as such, that grow increasingly Cyberpunk-centric and revealing,” Reddit user RaiderJang said. “I guess it’s just wishful thinking, but we’ve been starved of information for quite a bit and I hope we’ll have something substantial to refuel the hype train as we approach E3.”
We haven’t been completely starved for attention, but I get it. We all just want to explore Night City as soon as possible, and if the above video is any indication, we just might be learning more in the near future as to when we can get our hands on Cyberpunk 2077.
