Call of Duty Modern Warfare Introduces Tamagotchi Toys Fueled By Kills

While the single-player campaign for Call of Duty Modern Warfare is shaping up to be the darkest the series has seen yet, the multiplayer side of things is aiming for an entirely different kind of tone. Rather than have the entirety of the game consist of dark and grim tones, some aspects of the multiplayer will be more lighthearted and could be described as a playground for players. What better way to express just how enjoyable and non-serious of a tone the multiplayer is aiming to be by giving players their own Tamagotchi toys?

Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare Cancelled A "Badass" Feature At Last Minute

Tamagotchi toys have been around for quite some time and have drawn a large following over the years by giving fans the chance to own their very own digital pet. Infinity Ward is aiming to take advantage of this classic toy by bringing their own version into the multiplayer of Call of Duty Modern Warfare called TomaGUNchi. A recent interview reveals that these little digitized compadres will be able to be equipped by players in-game and grow based on how many enemies a player kills, however, if players fail to continue getting kills the poor little pet will die. Sadly, there isn’t much to go on visually but it’s likely that there will be at least some kind of resemblance to the real-life digital pets.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare is set to arrive on October 25th for PC, Xbox One, and PlayStation 4. Will you be using the TamGUNchi watch or a different customization when you get your hands on the game?
