Twitch Announces Beta Test For All-In-One Streaming App
Popular Fortnite Twitch stream Ninja parted ways after making his claim to fame on said platform and made his way over to Mixer, but the company has bigger plans on the horizon. Announcing their all-in-one streaming app, Twitch Studios is the next broadcasting platform to compete with the likes of OBS (Open Broadcaster Software) Studio and XSplit.
If you’ve ever dabbled in the streaming life on Twitch, YouTube, Mixer or otherwise, two of the most popular broadcasting applications livestreamers will use are OBS Studio or XSplit. They provide users with the ability to configure their set-up and customize their interface for a look and feel that represents their style. Whether that’s improving audio quality, making the most out of their content creation or video production – those are two of the top choices. With that said, it looks like Twitch wants to disrupt the scene and get their foot in the door.
Announcing the beta test of their all-in-one broadcasting application, Twitch wants to create the optimal app to help streamers engage with the community with ease. “Streamers are at the core of every community on Twitch, so we’re building an all-in-one streaming app designed for new streamers,” reads the main page of the new app. “Twitch Studio has features that guide you through your stream setup, plus tools that make it easy to engage with your community while you stream.”
For now, Twitch Studio hasn’t been fully fleshed out yet and it’s looking for folks “interested in helping shape the future for new streamers.” To sign-up for the beta, simply log-in with your Twitch account here.
