Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Dark Edition Includes Actual Night Vision Goggles
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare is shaping up to be quite a lot darker than previous installments in the franchise. As with other titles, the game will be seeing an abundance of alternate editions of the title to purchase, coming with a variety of goodies for players to collect. The newest is the Collector’s Edition of the game dubbed the “Dark Edition” and it brings players some sweet in-game cosmetics and other awesome loot.
A recent post on the Activision Games Blog shows off an impressive number of items both in-game and physical. The game comes in a steelbook with some delightful art and players will also receive a pair of night vision goggles similar to those featured in the shooter as well as a stand to hold them.
For digital items, players will get three exclusive cosmetic packs, the Crew Expendable pack, All Ghillied Up Pack, and War Pig Pack. These change the appearance of the characters and weapons, each with a unique style. Those who purchase the Dark Edition will also receive a custom in-game tactical knife as well the Call of Duty Endowment animated calling card. There are some pretty slick looking items in this collector’s edition, but players will have to figure out for themselves if it’s worth the price.
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare is looking to launch on October 25th for PC, Xbox One, and PlayStation 4. Pre-orders for the game are currently available on all platforms with the Dark Edition of the game set at the hefty price of $199.99.
